They are on the lookout for a driven Logistics Associate/Mover to become part of their home staging team. This team is full of dynamic, energetic professionals committed to delivering top-tire service and products in a fast-paced work environment. The individual will have a detailed-series of tasks revolving around handling incoming and outgoing inventory in the warehouse and different job sites. They are searching for someone who’s not only candid and attention-to-detail, but also team-oriented.
This prospective employee is expected to control the movement of goods in and out of the warehouse, project sites, and delivery vehicles, doing so manually or with the use of dollies. The individual will be tasked with wrapping, loading, transportation and placement of inventory at job sites. They will work cooperatively with other team members including the design team. Furniture assembly, repairs and cleaning is an essential aspect of the job.
Another crucial aspect is maintaining order and organization in the warehouse. This person is accountable for managing all warehouse operations. That includes ordering supplies, communicating inventory needs, cleaning the warehouse, and maintaining trucks. The person will work hand in hand with colleagues to confirm that all stagings and de-stagings are done within specified timeline. They should have the capacity to use different apps and tools like the inventory system.
Prerequisites for the position comprise of a High School Diploma or its equivalent. The person must be capable of lifting 60 lbs without help and up to 150 lbs with help. A detailed resume that includes previous employment history and references is desirable. Having prior experience in moving or warehouse activities is advantageous. An interest in home design is beneficial but not compulsory.
This person must have a clean driving record and a valid driver’s license, with the capacity to drive a 17 ft box truck and/or cargo van. A personal cell phone is essential with the understanding of app utilization. They must have reliable personal transportation to the warehouse in Nutley, NJ.
High professionalism is required as well as an immaculate appearance. Communication skills should be unparalleled. Teamwork is key accompanied by flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, fluctuating environment.
The schedule is flexible with required working hours being between 25-30 per week from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday. The work area is the warehouse in Nutley, NJ, which has varying temperatures and occasionally traveling to job sites in North & Central Jersey.
Emphasis is placed on team development, the key to their success. Regular performance reviews and rate increase (first at six months from the starting date) ensure continued nurturing of potential and cultivation of team member abilities.
The job is part-time with a pay starting from $22.00 per hour. The work location is on site.
