Senior Relocation Partners is looking to expand their team with the addition of a per diem Relocation Specialist. This company, a concierge relocation service owned and operated by women, specializes in downsizing, organizing, and relocating seniors with a high degree of care, respect, and professionalism.
The incoming specialist will be charged with tasks such as packing and unpacking items meticulously and systematically. They will clean furniture and other surfaces, handle packaging materials, and dismantle boxes. They will also have the responsibility to fold, hang, and set up items in the new location to establish a secure and cozy home. They will need to work harmoniously within a team to manage the transitions in a respectful and efficient manner.
Certain requirements need to be met by the potential candidate. They must be highly organized and have excellent problem-solving skills. Having reliable transportation is crucial. Unlike a traditional 9-5 job, this role requires schedule flexibility as some days may start early or extend into the early evening. The candidate should be comfortable with traveling in Westchester County, Northern NJ, NYC, Long Island, and Connecticut. As the role is physically demanding, applicants should be capable of lifting, carrying items, and standing on their feet for prolonged periods. Strong customer service and communication skills are necessary, along with a positive and proactive attitude. English fluency, being fully vaccinated against COVID-19, and willingness to wear a mask while at work are required too. The successful candidate will be expected to be patient, reliable, friendly, hardworking, and have a passion for exceeding client expectations.
This per diem position typically requires 5-30 hours in most weeks. Workdays usually span from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM on weekdays.
