They are currently on the hunt for a Staging Expert. This individual should be someone with a fine eye for design and who understands minimalist aesthetics. Exceptional interpersonal skills are a must, given that the position involves direct interactions with clients. The primary role involves transforming occupied homes into eye-catching, ready-for-photo dwellings which allure potential buyers into making a purchase.
The perfect applicant is someone who skillfully intertwines design execution with empathy and excellent communication skills. They’ll be expected to assist homeowners in transitioning their homes from their current state to a stage-ready condition, suitable for market.
The nature of the staging process falls into three types. First, there is on-the-spot staging which entails a room-by-room transformation done in conjunction with the client. This could involve rearranging furniture, stylistically organizing bookshelves or repositioning artwork. The second type is a DIY staging plan. This is preferred by clients who prefer a less hands-on experience. Here, the Staging Expert prepares a comprehensive and practical list that the client completes at their own pace before the photo session. Lastly, there’s the hybrid approach, a combination of the previous two types, commonly adopted by most clients.
Key duties for this role include collaboration with the transaction coordinator, clients and listing agents to plan appointments. The Staging Expert will be responsible for initial client consultations where they explain the staging process and available alternatives. Taking room measurements and evaluating each space is part of the job, including designing and implementing a room-by-room staging plan. Within a 24-hour period after each appointment, a typed staging list must be submitted to the transaction coordinator.
The ideal candidate needs to be amiable to flexible working hours, which may occasionally include evenings and weekends. They should exhibit strong emotional intelligence, efficiency, and professionalism, and have an innate eye for design and detail. Prior experience in home staging, interior design or related fields is a strong advantage. A willing attitude to acquire a staging certification is also favored. They are open to candidates interested in expanding on the role, making it a more long-term commitment.
Payment is centered on the candidate’s experience, quality of work, and flexibility. The pay structure presents two options. An hourly rate ranging between $25 to $35, and a per-job basis, which is equivalent to the hourly rate and suitable for monitoring the quality and efficiency of tasks in the initial stages. It’s important to note that a job-based structure is being explored as an alternative to the hourly structure to enforce mutual trust and effectiveness.
The job is contractual in nature and operates on a flexible schedule allowing candidates to choose their own hours. The work location is physical and not remote. If you are someone who finds satisfaction in design, thrives in client-oriented roles, and is eager to contribute to making homes market-ready in a substantial manner, they are excited to hear from you.
