Salt + Pine is a Rhode Island located, award-winning leader in the home staging industry. They have a boutique company structure and emphasize the importance of customer service. They are seeking a candidate who exhibits trustworthiness and high energy, has excellent multitasking capabilities, and is open to carrying out a range of duties. The successful candidate will need to show excellent communication skills, be eloquent, and be able to travel throughout Rhode Island, with occasional visits to Massachusetts and Connecticut. They will report to co-owners Amy Keeley and Kristen Brown, as well as the team Lead Stagers.

The staging assistant will aid the lead stager on the staging day, undertake tasks such as unpacking bins, arranging furniture, making beds, hanging artwork and assisting with the process of loading and unloading furniture from the truck. They should be capable of lifting over 30 lbs. Post-staging, they will be responsible for cleaning up, rewrapping items and packing bins to return them to the warehouse. Keeping the warehouse clean and organized, leading de-stages, packing accessories, bedding, and wrapping furniture will also fall under their duty. The candidate is expected to maintain company security by locking up at the close of the business day and partake in weekly meetings with the owner(s).

The chosen individual must be able to start work at 8 am, either at the warehouse or the property to be staged/destaged. They must be an articulate self-starter with superior time management abilities and high attention to detail. The ability to solve practical problems, multitask, and swiftly adapt to changes is crucial. They should be proficient in basic mathematics, have a knack for handling multiple projects within deadlines, and be ethical, passionate, and dedicated. Comfort in both giving and receiving constructive feedback is required, and they must maintain punctual, regular, predictable attendance. They should be flexible with their working hours as they can vary depending on the week’s workload.

The candidate is required to possess a valid driving license. In terms of physical requirements, the employee should be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds alone, and team lift items up to 100 pounds. They should be able to remain stationary (sitting or standing) 50% of the time and navigate around the warehouse or property being staged the other 50% of the time. Climbing ladders to assess the revamp inventory situated on higher shelves and negotiating stairs at a property are necessary competencies. The work environment typically involves various properties requiring staging and potential outdoor environment exposure.

It should be noted that this is a part-time job and the pay ranges from $22.00 – $24.00 per hour. The expected working hours are 16 – 24 per week and the work location is in person.
