The current open position seeks to assist in designing on-trend, affordable housing within a dynamic, team-oriented environment. The hired professional will collaborate with architects, engineers, vendors, and home-building facilities across the country.
The identified duties include assisting other designers, working with architects and engineers during initial design phases, enhancing interior spaces, choosing color palettes, planning architectural details, reading blueprints, and assisting in planning and estimating project budgets. The role also involves drawing up floor plans and sketches, staying updated with the latest design industry trends, and performing other responsibilities as needed.
The ideal applicant should have 0-2 years Interior Design experience, possess strong communication skills, and be capable of building relationships with vendors and clients. They should have a deep understanding of architecture, construction, and design industries, be able to work under pressure, pay strong attention to detail, and possess creative problem-solving skills. Excellent teamwork skills are also essential.
The role requires consistent operation of a computer and other office equipment, communication via phone, email and in person. The job is primarily indoor and involves a combination of sitting and standing. It may entail up to 25% travel, with some overnight stays as necessary.
