They are in search of a detail-oriented and creatively inclined Home Staging Mover/Installer. This individual will support interior design and property presentation initiatives, cooperating closely with the decorator and taking part in preparing homes for selling by aiding in furniture movement and positioning.
The main responsibilities of the role involve loading, transporting, and installing furniture and décor in the staged homes. The candidate will assist in both staging installs and de-stages under the supervision of the Lead Stager. Accurate and secure display of artwork and careful protection of walls, floors, and furnishings during installation is expected. The candidate will also handle minor furniture repairs and touch-ups if required, and ensure the maintenance of warehouse organization and inventory flow. They will also be fully responsible for de-stages, which includes effective loading and unloading of trucks and returning all items to the warehouse.
The perfect candidate for this role likely has previous experience in moving furniture or working with installation crews, and is comfortable following direction from a Lead Stager or crew lead. They may have experience with hanging artwork and be detail-oriented, respectful of high-end homes, a good team player and punctual. They are physically able to undertake lifting, carrying, and navigating stairs.
Certain prerequisites for this role include having a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation, a clean driving record and background check, being comfortable working in client homes, and have the physical capability to lift and move furniture. Overall, the candidate should be reliable, timely, and maintain professional decorum.
The job type is a part-time contract, with 10–25 hours per week and variable hours. The candidate must have their own means of travel and should be willing to move between different job sites. Compensation is competitive, ranging from $15 to $25.61 per hour depending on the candidate’s experience. The work schedule would primarily involve Tuesday, Thursday, Friday daytime hours, typically between 11:00am to 6:00pm, and won’t involve nights or weekends.
The role will have the candidate mostly working on the road.
