A design-forward home staging company based in South Austin is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Staging Install Crew Lead. This role involves tasks such as supporting furniture installations, de-stages, and overseeing warehouse operations. Ideal candidates would have previous moving or install experience and are ready to step up into a leadership role. This isn’t a typical moving job as it involves staging high-end homes with a focus on care, organization, and professionalism.
As the Crew Lead, the successful candidate would lead the install team on the site, manage logistics, and ensure tasks are carried out efficiently. Under the direction of the Lead Stager, the Crew Lead will execute staging plans, guiding the crew and maintaining pace, ensuring everything is completed to a high standard of professionalism.
Tasks involved in the role include leading staging install and de-stage crews, driving a rented box truck and overseeing loading and unloading. The Crew Lead will also manage the flow of installations, keep the team on task, and handle any minor issues that arise in terms of layout and logistics. Artwork needs to be hung accurately, and furniture placement must be precise.
The Crew Lead will also be responsible for the truck’s cleanliness and organization, with the time spent on these tasks considered paid work hours. This is a contract job with a schedule consisting of 10-25 hours per week, usually from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. The pay rate is competitive, with additional leadership pay based on experience.
The ideal candidate would have experience in moving, staging installs, or furniture delivery, comfortable leading a small crew, and taking directions well while guiding others. They must be organized, efficient, and communicate effectively. Requirements include a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record, comfortable with driving a box truck, and a good attitude towards physical work.
This role stands out from other similar jobs as it is focused on high-end homes, with a clear structure of design-led installations plus logistics-led execution, and the potential to grow into larger leadership or operations roles.
To apply, candidates should send a brief introduction, their relevant experience, availability, and confirm their comfort with driving a box truck. This is a part-time contract role paying $25.00 – $28.00 per hour, with the work location being on the road.
