The position available is within a design-forward home staging company based in South Austin. They need a reliable and detail-oriented Staging Logistics & Install Specialist. The person filling this role will play a significant role in moving and installing furniture, decors, and operating warehouse activities.
The job requires a hands-on approach and values commitment to professional and careful execution of tasks. It involves working in sophisticated homes alongside a creative staging team and does not fall under traditional moving jobs.
Specifically, the Staging Logistics & Install Specialist’s daily tasks will include moving furniture and décor, hanging artworks, and adhering to on-site design instructions. Task execution should be performed with orders from the Lead Stager who oversees design and layout. Attention to detail is essential.
The person will work alongside team members, and together they will be responsible for packing and picking up items from staged homes.
Other tasks that will fall under this role include loading, transporting, installing furniture and décor in staged homes, following design and placement instructions accurately, making sure walls, floors, and furnishings are not damaged during installations, assisting with light furniture touch-ups and maintain a well organized warehouse.
In terms of machinery and equipment, the person will be required to drive and travel in a rented box truck as and when the need arises, assist with weekly truck pickups and drop-offs.
The position is contract-based, requiring 10–25 hours of work per week; the hours vary from one week to another. The hourly rate is between $22 and $28, commensurate with experience. The working hours are daytime hours from Monday to Friday, which are typically between 8:30 am to 2:00 pm.
The ideal candidate likely has experience moving furniture or working on install crews, is comfortable taking direction from a Lead Stager, has experience hanging artworks, is detail-orientated, punctual, well-coordinated in a team setting, and physically capable of lifting furniture.
The candidate must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and a clean driving and background record. They must also be comfortable working in client homes, be able physically to lift and move furniture, and be reliable, punctual and professional.
