The company in focus is a fast-paced staging and design firm currently in search of a proficient Moving Manager. The candidate they seek should be able to competently lead installations and moving logistics. Ideally, this position suits an organized, physically able, self-driven, autonomous individual with experience in managing moving crews, trailers, and transport coordination.
The Moving Manager will be responsible for leading and managing a team of movers/installers. They are expected to show initiative on solo takedowns and confidently direct team operations from start to finish. Effective communication with clients and internal teams is needed to ensure smooth operations. It is their duty to coordinate daily staging deliveries, pickups, and warehouse preparation.
The task of the Moving Manager includes safely loading, transporting, and on-site installation of furniture and décor. Wrapping and protecting furniture to prevent damage during transport and installation forms a part of their responsibility. They are also expected to cooperate with designers to precisely execute staging plans.
Moving the Manager is required to hook up and haul enclosed trailers to various staging sites. They are also expected to track and move inventory using internal systems. Light furniture cleaning/touch-up, and on-site adjustments falls under their domain. Handling and assisting in maintaining efficient warehouse systems is also part of their duty.
They may have to independently run moving-related errands as needed. They will ensure the maintenance of clean, safe, and well-functioning vehicles and equipment through regular inspections and basic upkeep. This is to enforce reliable transportation for installations and deliveries.
The requirements for this role include an experience in moving, logistics, or staging for a minimum of 2 years. A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is needed. The candidate should have experience in trailer towing. The capability to consistently lift and move 50+ lbs is required. The candidate they seek should be a reliable, professional, team-oriented individual with strong leadership, time management, and communication skills. Basic knowledge of fleet and trailer maintenance is a plus. Experience in maintaining a clean, organized, warehouse environment is appreciated. Comfort in using apps or mobile tools for tracking and scheduling is desired.
The work schedule is a 4-day week, Monday–Friday, between 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM. The ideal candidate should be flexible, as workdays and hours may vary depending on the workload. The job is full-time, with the salary being $22.00 – $28.00 per hour. They expect a commitment of 40 hours per week. Work Location: In person. The shift is a day shift, and the workdays are from Monday to Friday.
