They are presently in search of a part-time Home Staging Assistant to lend support to the Lead Stager for projects in the local Northern Virginia and DC regions. The person who joins the team as the Home Staging Assistant will report directly to the Lead Home Stager. The assistant’s job will involve assisting with daily staging operations for active listings. Tasks will include involvement in the entire staging process – preparation, setup, breakdown, and inventory organization. While the role is part-time initially, they are eager to meet applicants who show flexibility and a readiness to grow with the business. They aim to find more than just another employee, they want a business partner.
Key duties will involve assisting the Lead Home Stager with staging and de-staging homes. It will also include helping select and position décor and accessories from their staging inventory. The assistant will support setup days by helping movers and the stager with styling and room flow. Other tasks include packing, organizing and returning staging items after homes have been sold. The assistant will also be required to help maintain the organization of the staging inventory and storage areas. The role also requires the assistant to take up basic prep tasks like loading décor, light cleaning, and styling touch-ups. In relation to marketing, understanding how staging timelines align with listing and marketing schedules will be a requirement, as will assisting with marketing and growing the business with external stakeholders.
The job requires a minimum of a High School Diploma, although a college degree is highly desirable. An interest in home staging, interior design, real estate, or visual merchandising is a requirement. The candidate should also have a keen attention for detail and a willingness to learn. The candidate should be reliable, punctual, and organized. The ability to be on your feet and assist with light physical tasks is a requirement. The role calls for a positive attitude and receptiveness to directions. The candidate should have a dependable mode of transport and be willing to travel throughout the Northern Virginia, and DC surrounding areas. Availability consistently on Tuesdays and Thursdays is key (5-10 hours per week to start, but this will grow over time).
This is a part-time role that offers between $18.00 – $20.00 per hour and an expected work attendance of 5 – 10 hours per week. The work location is in-person.
