Phoenix Staging + Design, a rapidly growing company, is in the hunt for a creative and confident Home Stager to enhance their team. The job suits someone who excels in high-speed environments, adores hands-on designing, and can steer install days in transforming homes into polished, ready-for-sale spaces. There is a potential for this part-time role to expand into a full-time position as business escalates.
In the role of a Home Stager, they will be the primary design lead on site, responsible for animating each project. Their duties will include creating room layouts, making final design decisions, leading install teams for smooth staging days, styling homes to be photo-ready, maintaining quality control and brand uniformity across projects, collaborating with designers, agents, and homeowners, assisting with inventory management and handling real-time problem-solving. This position is creative and leadership-oriented, requiring physical commitment like lifting up to 25 lbs, climbing stairs, and working in different locations.
The company’s backend systems and support team take care of operational aspects like client communication, scheduling, inventory tracking, logistics, billing, and invoicing, warehouse organization, training and system updates. This allows the Home Stager to focus solely on staging.
The role is a dynamic one and not a traditional design job. It involves working in multiple locations each week, thinking swiftly, leading with confidence, moving furniture, making real-time design decisions and managing personalities and expectations.
The remuneration ranges from $17.45 – $24.67 per hour.
Responsibilities include guiding the install crews on-site, creating room layouts, selecting inventory, making final design decisions, overseeing quality, handling on-the-spot problem-solving, managing professional communication with all stakeholders, maintaining project schedules, working directly with the warehouse for inventory management and ensuring consistent staging standards.
Qualified applicants must have prior experience in home staging or interior design, the ability to lead and inspire installation crews, a proven record of making quick design decisions, robust communication skills, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, be comfortable with physical tasks and capable of problem-solving on-site challenges. A minimum of 3 years of Home Staging Experience is mandatory.
Why should one join Phoenix Staging + Design? It offers a creatively collaborative team environment, opportunities for growth within a rapidly growing company, direct impact work on home sales and client success, and exposure to high-volume staging across VA, MD, and DC.
