There’s an open position as a Staging Assistant which requires a trustworthy, forward-thinking, detail-conscious person to assist in setting up and removing of house staging projects. The role involves switching empty houses into beautiful homes ready for the market. This is a full-time, on-site role, based at the Fairfax warehouse, near Merrifield, and it necessitates daily travel to staging locations in company vehicles.
Main tasks will include aiding loading, unloading and transport of furniture and decor, working closely with the design team to arrange and dismantle home staging setups and daily organization and upkeep of warehouse inventory – this includes wrapping and unwrapping furniture and accessories and ensuring they are returned to their rightful place. Additionally, the employee must also follow secure lifting and handling methods and will need to lift heavy items weighing 50 lbs+.
It’s also important to ensure that staging materials are clean, organised, and ready for use on the next project. The employee should endeavour to complete projects in good time and maintain professional interaction with clients.
Requirements for the job include reliable transport to the warehouse near Merrifield, a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and the capacity to lift and move heavy furniture. The individual should be able to work well both independently and as part of a team, and should be punctual, reliable and organised. The company is looking for someone comfortable with a fast-paced, physical workload and a background check will be obligatory before hiring.
As for the schedule and pay: it’s a full-time role, working from Monday to Friday, with the possibility of occasional weekend work if necessary. The starting pay is between $17-19 per hour based on experience and there are opportunities for advancement.
