The job opportunity is for a Home Stager or Interior Stylist in Eastside, Seattle and Surrounding Areas. The salary ranges from $21.00 – $25.00 per hour dependent on experience. A high level of interest in design, furniture, styling is essential, as the job will involve bringing a vision to life. The incumbent will be expected to confidently involve themselves in projects, creating stunning room designs that will attract home buyers.

The employer is a fast-paced luxury home staging company located in Kirkland. They have pride in creating unique, cohesive spaces for homes to stand out in the market, in the Eastside and Greater Seattle area. As the company is expanding, they’re seeking passionate designers, excited to contribute creatively in a collaborative environment.

The role is ideally suited to those who enjoy practical work and being physically active, as opposed to sitting at a desk. The job consists of time spent both in the warehouse planning for staging projects and in the field, styling homes for installation. Prior experience in staging or interior design is a must. Minimal training is provided, therefore candidates should be comfortable working independently as well as being a part of a team.

There may be opportunities to lead on the creative direction of a staging project or to support another designer. Regardless of their role, all team members are deeply involved in the staging process. This includes selecting the appropriate art, accessories, pillows, bedding, décor from the warehouse, installing and styling rooms to ensure the final outcome is cohesive, elevated and ready for the market. A strong understanding of scale, proportion, layout and flow is crucial, as well as the ability to make insightful styling decisions to appeal to the target buyer.

The company provides a 30-day trial period to ensure a good fit for both parties. After onboarding, employees will be eligible for paid holidays. Additionally, mileage will be reimbursed for travel between the KCD warehouse and staging or de-staging locations.

The working hours for this role are full time, starting from 7:00 AM Monday through Friday. The working hours are approximately 30 to 40 hours per week during slower periods and approximately 35 to 50 hours per week during busier periods, often extending past 3:00 PM and sometimes until 4:00 to 6:00 PM.

Job responsibilities include leading staging projects, selecting décor items, creating functional and beautiful layouts, previewing homes and measuring rooms to plan staging layouts, installing and styling staging items, hanging artwork, layering accessories to complete the design and much more.

Candidates must have at least 1 year of home staging or interior design experience, a strong understanding of space planning, furniture layout, scale, and color coordination. They also need to be detail-oriented, energetic, have strong work ethic and positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and professionalism while working at client’s homes.
