Studio Walsh Interiors is in the search for a part-time design assistant, who will be available from Monday to Friday, 7am to 3pm, with a workload of approximately 35 to 40 hours per week. The main goal of the role is to assist in staging homes with furniture, refining the spaces for sales efforts. The design assistant will be required to drive to various locations across the city to stage homes, hence must own a car. The task also includes assisting with the pulling and packing of design items for the staging process.

Onsite duties include setting up homes, hanging art, making beds, and steaming beds in addition to cleaning surfaces. The assistant must also be adept at organizing the warehouse, which includes tasks such as putting away accessories, lamps, shades, pillows, and bedding.

To be considered for the role, it would be beneficial if applicants come with interior design or home staging experience, although this is not a requirement. A strong initiative, quick learning abilities, and the capacity to work independently with minimal supervision are all essential. They should also possess a drama-free demeanor, own a reliable vehicle with insurance, and have a knack for multitasking. A keen eye for detail and a good understanding of spatial arrangement of furniture is crucial.

The remuneration for this role starts from $23.00 per hour. An important note is that the task will occur in person, from Monday to Friday each week. Interested applicants can apply for either a full-time or part-time schedule. It is expected that anyone hired will be readily available to work for 35 hours per week.
