In this position, they would take on the responsibility of driving a 26 ft box truck, carefully loading and unloading items from the truck or moving vehicles. They will be expected to adhere to safety protocols at all times while safely delivering items to their designated locations. The role may involve operating equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks during the moving process.
A major part of this role is providing superior levels of customer service through effective communication with clients throughout the moving process. Assistance will be required in packing and unpacking items, making sure all belongings are treated respectfully. They will also be expected to keep the work environment, both in the warehouse and during moves, tidy and organized.
As a driver, they will be expected to stick to assigned routes for all pickups and deliveries, ensuring that all timelines are met.
Previous experience in a staging company and having knowledge of warehouse operations can prove beneficial, but is not necessary. Having prior experience in moving, driving deliveries, or working in warehouse operations is preferred. Strong customer service skills are essential, including the ability to engage positively with clients. The candidate should be able to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and can physically work for extended periods.
Basic familiarity with route driving and commercial driving practices is a bonus. Experience operating forklifts or pallet jacks can be advantageous. Depending on the specific role within the team, it may be necessary to hold a valid driver’s license. The ideal candidate is reliable, punctual, and available to work flexible hours when required.
The company aims to deliver top-notch services and help clients transition smoothly to their new spaces. This position is full-time and contract-based, paying between $21.00 – $30.00 per hour. The expectation is for between 30 – 50 hours of work per week, mostly in morning shifts from Monday to Friday, with some weekends as needed.
