Interior Designer (Entry Level, Mandarin)

Team Metric Inc is hiring an Interior Designer (Entry Level, Mandarin) in San Jose, CA. This position begins as an internship with potential to transition into a full-time formal role.

The Interior Designer will support the development team throughout project planning, execution, and delivery stages. Primary responsibilities include the following:

• Develop interior design concepts for residential, commercial, and public spaces
• Create mood boards, material palettes, and renderings to communicate design ideas
• Produce detailed drawings and specifications covering layouts, furnishings, fixtures, and fittings
• Plan and execute luxury home staging projects to increase property appeal for buyers
• Select and arrange furniture, artwork, and accessories suited to each property's character
• Oversee 2 to 6 installations per week, maintaining efficient and timely completion
• Communicate with Mandarin and English-speaking clients to gather requirements, preferences, and budget information
• Present design proposals and staging plans in a clear, professional manner

To qualify, applicants must hold a bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related field. Entry-level professionals and recent graduates are encouraged to apply; previous work experience in construction, project management, engineering, or architecture is preferred. Required qualifications include fluency in both Mandarin and English, a strong design portfolio demonstrating previous work, and proficiency with design software including AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite. Applicants must demonstrate excellent communication and presentation abilities, strong organizational and project management skills, and a keen eye for color, texture, and detail.

Candidates must be currently authorized to work in the United States, including F1 or OPT status; sponsorship is available on a case-by-case basis. The position requires relocation to San Jose, CA 95131 before starting. Compensation is $19.00 to $20.00 per hour, and benefits include health insurance, dental insurance, and paid time off.
