Home Staging Assistant (Part-Time)

OASIS STAGING + DESIGN is hiring a Home Staging Assistant in Honolulu, HI. This part-time position works on an on-call basis, requiring 2-3 days per week, Monday through Friday with occasional Saturday availability. Hours fall within a 7am-2pm timeframe. Pay ranges from $20 to $25 per hour.

The assistant collaborates with staging team members to ready homes for the market. Key responsibilities include the following:

• Work with stagers to pick out furniture and decorative items, pack them, and transport them to a designated pre-staging area.
• Assist with delivering inventory to properties, unloading boxes, unpacking items, ironing textiles, collapsing boxes, and disposing of packing materials.
• Help arrange furniture placement and set out accessories throughout homes. Provide support wherever the team needs assistance.
• Make return trips to the warehouse to retrieve additional items or drop off unused pieces.
• Pack up furnishings and accessories when a job is complete. Remove artwork, patch wall holes, clear surfaces, and clean rooms as needed.
• Transport packed items back to the warehouse and put everything away.
• Track the location and condition of staging inventory.
• Keep the warehouse space clean and organized.
• Assemble basic furniture pieces including dining sets, chairs, console tables, media stands, and bed frames.
• Place online orders for supplies and materials.
• Shop in stores for needed items and manage product returns.
• Take photos and short videos during jobs and consultations for internal or social media purposes.

Candidates must meet these qualifications:

• Age 18 or older.
• Valid Hawaii driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Strong organizational abilities and careful attention to detail.
• Flexible and resourceful approach to problem-solving.
• Focus on both customer service and teamwork.
• Capability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Home staging or design experience is preferred but not required.

Applicants should be prepared for a work environment that can move quickly and require them to be adaptable. The position requires driving across Oahu to various project sites, which is essential to the role. Hours vary based on project schedules, with busier periods in spring and summer and slower periods in fall and winter. Weekend work may occasionally be necessary. All new hires complete a one-month trial period to ensure the fit is right for both the employee and the company.
