Mover/Inventory Care Specialist

Joy Home Design Inc. is hiring a Mover/Inventory Care Specialist in Forest Hill, MD. This home staging company supplies, moves, and arranges furniture in unoccupied residential properties to enhance their market appeal and accelerate sales. The warehouse operates in Forest Hill, though work extends throughout the greater Baltimore metropolitan area and surrounding regions.

This position involves delivering and installing furniture with a focus on maintaining inventory standards and care. Primary responsibilities include:

• Moving and positioning furniture in vacant homes according to staging specifications
• Operating and driving a 17-foot box truck to job sites
• Maintaining organized warehouse operations and inventory
• Following daily job sheets and instructions from supervisors
• Working collaboratively with crew members to complete projects efficiently
• Ensuring all work meets quality and detail standards
• Managing physical demands with attention to furniture protection and placement

Candidates must meet these qualifications:

• Ability to lift 75 pounds regularly
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Capacity to rent and operate a 17-foot box truck
• Smartphone for texting and navigation to job sites
• Reliable personal transportation
• Punctuality and consistent attendance
• Trustworthiness and reliability in a team setting
• Ability to work with minimal supervision while following directions
• Detail-oriented approach to staging and inventory care
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Drug and alcohol-free status with ability to pass a drug and background check
• Prior moving experience is preferred but not required; training is provided

Work hours run Monday through Friday, 8am to 4pm, with occasional extended hours during peak season. Some Saturday work may be needed periodically. Hourly pay depends on experience with increases possible after the three-month probationary period. The company offers five days of paid time off after one year of employment, overtime compensation, and potential bonus pay following successful completion of the probationary period.
