About this role

SunSipper Affordable Housing Project LLC is hiring an Interior Designer & Home Staging Specialist in Camdenton, MO and the surrounding Lake of the Ozarks area. This is an independent contractor position compensated on a commission basis, with potential to earn between $75,000 and $150,000 annually. SunSipper operates as a network of complementary businesses providing design, decorating, and staging services to homeowners, real estate investors, builders, and commercial clients. The position offers the flexibility of independent contracting while providing access to marketing support and client opportunities through SunSipper's interconnected business divisions.

The role encompasses three primary areas of focus. The specialist will consult with clients to understand design objectives, financial parameters, and project scope, then develop creative interior design concepts for both residential and commercial properties. This includes advising on furniture selection, color schemes, lighting, flooring, finishes, and spatial arrangements. The specialist will produce design presentations and mood boards, coordinate with vendors and contractors to execute designs, and support renovation and remodeling initiatives.

Home staging responsibilities involve conducting professional staging consultations for properties entering the market, collaborating with SunSipper's real estate agents and investors, developing staging plans for both occupied and vacant homes, and suggesting furniture placement and décor improvements to enhance property appeal. The specialist may coordinate staging installations and removals when needed and advise real estate investors on design choices for renovation projects.

New construction and remodeling work requires partnering with SunSipper Construction on residential and commercial ventures, assisting customers with interior finish selections and material choices, offering design guidance for new homes and additions, and creating functional, attractive spaces within customer budgets and preferences.

Business development responsibilities include helping establish and expand the interior design and staging services within the Lake of the Ozarks market, cultivating strong working relationships with clients, contractors, real estate professionals, and other service providers, maintaining clear communication throughout design projects, managing multiple concurrent projects while upholding quality and client satisfaction, and identifying cross-business opportunities within the SunSipper network.

Preferred qualifications include professional background in interior design, decorating, home staging, or related fields, solid grasp of design principles, furniture arrangement, color coordination, and space planning, experience working with homeowners, contractors, builders, or real estate professionals, ability to independently manage projects and coordinate with multiple stakeholders, strong communication and organizational abilities, careful attention to detail, creative design sensibility, comfort using design software and digital visualization tools, and a portfolio of completed design or staging work.

The ideal candidate demonstrates self-motivation and initiative, enjoys direct client engagement, possesses an entrepreneurial approach to business building, can blend artistic vision with practical financial and timeline constraints, values collaborative long-term professional partnerships, and is interested in participating in a developing network of aligned businesses.

Compensation is based entirely on commission from interior design services performed, with additional potential income through SunSipper's profit-sharing pool for eligible internal projects, plus opportunities to generate revenue through the real estate, construction, property services, and partner network. SunSipper Media Group provides marketing and business development support. No guaranteed salary or hourly wage is offered. Interested applicants should contact SunSipper Affordable Housing Project LLC to discuss the opportunity.
