About this role
Diaz Design is hiring an Operations & Home Staging Assistant in Reno, NV. This role combines administrative and hands-on staging work for a growing home staging and design company. The position splits between operations support (70 percent) and staging execution (30 percent), with the successful candidate bringing organization and structure to a fast-moving business.
Day-to-day operations responsibilities include preparing and distributing client proposals, processing billing for staging and design services, monitoring and collecting outstanding invoices, maintaining organized project documentation, cataloging before-and-after photos in Dropbox, scheduling deliveries and coordinating project timelines, and establishing straightforward systems to support business operations.
Staging and project execution tasks involve assisting with furniture placement and decor arrangement during staging installations and breakdowns, preparing homes for presentation, and organizing the company's inventory of furniture and decorative items.
The role uses Houzz, Canva, Google Sheets, Apple Calendar, Dropbox, and an in-development app for furniture management. The typical schedule runs Monday through Thursday, with occasional Friday work as projects require. Hours average 20 to 30 per week and may shift depending on the staging schedule.
Diaz Design is seeking someone with the following qualities and skills:
- Highly organized and attentive to detail
- Proactive approach to identifying and completing needed tasks
- Natural ability to build systems and create structure
- Adaptable and composed when priorities shift
- Clear communication skills and reliable collaboration
- Capable of building systems and following through on consistent execution
- Valid driver's license and dependable transportation
- Able to lift and move furniture and decor with assistance as needed
The role is well-suited for someone who thrives in changing environments, enjoys converting disorder into clear systems, takes ownership with minimal direction, and values contributing meaningfully to a small, expanding company. It is not the right fit for applicants who require highly structured or slow-paced work, struggle with last-minute adjustments, or prefer to only follow direct instruction.
This position offers growth potential. As the business expands, there is opportunity for additional hours, higher pay, and expanded responsibilities for the right candidate. To apply, submit a resume along with a brief description of a time the applicant stepped into a disorganized situation and successfully introduced order and structure.
