Staging & Interior Design Assistant

The Haven Staging is hiring a Staging & Interior Design Assistant in Spring Valley, NY. This project-based position suits interior design students, visual merchandisers, or those with a strong sense of home decor aesthetics. Hours fluctuate based on the company's staging calendar, and the role offers schedule flexibility with potential to expand into full-time permanent work as the business grows.

Responsibilities include:

• Style individual rooms by positioning tabletop accessories, arranging bedding and pillows, and placing wall art according to design specifications
• Pack, unpack, label, and maintain decorative storage bins containing accessories, linens, lighting fixtures, and rugs at both the warehouse and job locations
• Coordinate with the moving team on-site to ensure the final presentation appears polished and camera-ready for real estate photography
• Support the mover with furniture placement and provide physical assistance for two-person lifts involving heavy items such as sofas and tables

Candidates should have a background in interior design, home staging, art, or visual merchandising, with a portfolio or photos of previously styled spaces preferred. A valid, clean driver's license is required, as the company provides a truck for travel between jobs. Physical stamina is essential, including the ability to stand for extended periods, bend, walk, handle furniture, and assist with heavy lifting as part of team efforts.

The position pays between $16.00 and $22.00 per hour with a flexible schedule. Work takes place on-site at various locations.
