Upholstery Staging Assistant

Michael Thomas Furniture, Inc. is hiring an Upholstery Staging Assistant in High Point, NC. The company manufactures premium handcrafted upholstered furniture and is looking for someone to support the staging and preparation of furniture pieces for production and final inspection.

• Prepare and stage all materials required for upholstery production, including frames, feet, poly components, and sewn covers
• Organize upholstery materials and related supplies to support efficient production flow
• Ensure the production schedule is met by coordinating complete material loads
• Perform manual handling and heavy lifting tasks safely throughout the staging process
• Cross-train in other manufacturing areas as needed

Candidates should have the following background and skills:

• Prior experience or formal training in upholstery techniques, fabric materials, or furniture manufacturing
• Strong attention to detail and ability to read and follow technical drawings and blueprint specifications
• Capability to safely handle manual tasks and heavy lifting
• Solid organizational abilities with focus on quality standards during the staging process
• Interest in developing technical skills related to upholstery maintenance and manufacturing
