Interior Designer & Home Stager

ASK AMY STAGING LLC is hiring an Interior Designer & Home Stager in Sidney, OH. This position combines design consultation with residential staging and commercial design support, offering opportunity to develop expertise across multiple areas of home furnishings and design.

The role involves meeting with clients to understand their needs through detailed project planning and space planning. The interior designer will specify furniture, paint, décor, and flooring selections, and oversee home staging projects by assessing properties and selecting furniture and décor to prepare homes for sale. Support is also provided to the commercial design and blinds departments as needed. Working from the Furniture Showroom Design Center, the position builds skills in communication, project planning, and design by contributing to various departmental functions.

Responsibilities include:

• Identifying client needs through project planning and space planning consultation
• Executing small design projects and specifying furniture, paint, décor, and flooring
• Assessing homes and selecting staging furniture and décor to prepare properties for sale
• Meeting with homeowners to coordinate staging efforts
• Supporting the commercial design and blinds department as required
• Developing knowledge and skills across design and furnishings functions

Required qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Associate's degree in interior design or current enrollment in an interior design program
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• AutoCAD knowledge
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Attention to detail
• Capability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
• Professional conduct and strong communication skills
• Willingness to deepen industry knowledge and pursue ongoing education and skill development
