Peace of Mind Lodging is hiring a Design Coordinator in Sevierville, TN. The position provides interior design support for residential and commercial properties across the company's portfolio, with travel expected to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and Knoxville.
The Design Coordinator helps translate design concepts into finished spaces by working closely with the design and property teams. The role encompasses selecting furnishings, finishes, layouts, and decor that create inviting, guest-ready environments, managing the full spectrum from concept to completion. A key focus is ensuring each property reflects a consistent, polished aesthetic that supports strong guest experiences and booking appeal.
Main responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with the Director and Architect to execute interior design concepts and layouts for residential and commercial properties, emphasizing short-term rental units
- Source, select, and coordinate furniture, fixtures, decor, and finishes aligned with property brand and guest experience goals
- Monitor design budgets and purchase orders for each project
- Assist with space planning and furniture layout to optimize functionality, comfort, and visual impact
- Liaise with vendors, contractors, and movers on delivery, assembly, and installation of furnishings and decor
- Perform property walkthroughs to identify design needs, current condition, and refresh opportunities
- Build and maintain a library of design standards, mood boards, and product sourcing materials for portfolio consistency
- Style and stage properties for photography and listing launches
- Coordinate timely completion of design projects to meet property opening and relisting schedules
Required qualifications and skills:
- One to two or more years of experience in interior design, home staging, or short-term rental and hospitality design; internship experience counts toward qualification
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
- Strong attention to detail and aesthetic sense with ability to maintain brand consistency
- Capacity to manage multiple property projects and vendor relationships concurrently
- Willingness to travel locally to properties for walkthroughs, installations, and styling
Experience with design software such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, or Canva is a plus, as is familiarity with short-term rental and hospitality design standards.
The position offers paid time off and a retirement plan. This role reports to the Director of Design and requires in-person work with regular local travel to properties in the Sevierville area and nearby communities.
