Heidi Ross Design is hiring a Home Staging Assistant / Inventory and Administrative Assistant in Memphis, TN. This part-time position combines hands-on staging work with interior design support and administrative tasks. The role is centered on staging residential properties, managing staging inventory, and coordinating project details to ensure polished execution across all assignments.
Staging and inventory responsibilities include assisting with installation and de-staging of properties, styling homes under the direction of the lead designer, packing and organizing accessories, artwork, bedding, rugs, and décor, preparing inventory for upcoming projects, loading and unloading staging vehicles, maintaining the warehouse in clean and organized condition, and assembling light furniture or completing minor paint touch-ups as needed.
Interior design support duties involve sourcing furniture, finishes, lighting, artwork, and décor, researching current design trends and products, taking room measurements and sketching basic floor plans, assisting with design presentations and project preparation, and shopping locally for project materials and accessories.
Administrative support tasks include assisting with client communication and scheduling, contributing to social media content and marketing projects, helping with product ordering and inventory management, and performing other duties that support daily business operations.
Candidates should have high energy and physical stamina, a creative eye for design and styling, strong organizational and detail-oriented skills, self-motivation and reliability, a positive and professional approach, and willingness to learn and take initiative. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and a passion for creating beautiful spaces are essential.
Required qualifications:
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Residence within approximately 30 minutes of Midtown Memphis
- Ability to travel throughout the Memphis metro area to different homes
- Capacity to frequently lift 35 pounds
- Comfortable standing, bending, climbing stairs, and walking throughout the day
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
Preferred qualifications include prior experience in home staging, interior design, merchandising, retail display, or visual merchandising, experience creating social media content, basic photography skills, familiarity with design software such as Canva or SketchUp, and comfort using basic hand tools.
