About this role

LynneMark Home Staging is hiring a Home Staging Designer in Port Washington, WI. The role involves creating attractive, cohesive spaces that showcase homes to buyers while maintaining the company's brand standards. This hands-on position merges design sensibility, furniture arrangement, inventory management, and teamwork across multiple project types.

Core hours run Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with schedule varying between 25 and 40 hours per week during the slower season (October through March) and 35 to 45 hours weekly during peak months.

Responsibilities include selecting and arranging furniture, artwork, rugs, lighting, and accessories to match each home's architecture and appeal to target buyers. The Designer prepares inventory before installation, stages interiors according to company standards, makes on-site refinements to achieve a polished appearance, and readies spaces for photography. Daily tasks also involve helping load and unload the company truck, handling items carefully to avoid damage, and using proper wrapping and securing techniques.

The position includes de-staging duties, such as inspecting furnishings for damage or cleanliness, removing items from properties, and transporting them back to the warehouse. Warehouse responsibilities involve organizing and maintaining inventory, storing items in proper locations, cleaning furnishings and décor, reporting damaged or missing pieces, and keeping the workspace functional and orderly.

Working closely with other team members is essential. The Designer follows staging plans and company procedures, represents LynneMark professionally in client homes, treats properties respectfully, and communicates promptly about project needs or concerns.

Physical demands are substantial and include lifting and carrying furniture, moving sofas and mattresses, standing and walking throughout the day, bending and kneeling, reaching and climbing stairs, and maneuvering large items through tight spaces. Applicants must be comfortable working in varied home environments and commit to using proper lifting techniques and prioritizing safety.

Qualifications and experience that strengthen applications include:

  • Strong interest in interior design, home décor, or real estate
  • Keen eye for color, scale, proportion, balance, and furniture placement
  • Ability to visualize how furnishings function within a space
  • Sharp attention to detail and efficient work habits
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Reliability and punctuality
  • Capacity to work independently and as part of a team
  • Openness to learning and following brand standards
  • Previous experience in interior design, home staging, visual merchandising, furniture, or moving

The position offers health insurance, dental coverage, vision insurance, and an employee discount.

LynneMark Home Staging welcomes applications from candidates ready to contribute design expertise and physical effort to staging projects.
