About the role

We’re a fast-moving vacant home staging company in Phoenix/Scottsdale looking for someone who can lead installs from start to finish, manage on-site execution, and represent the company with clients and agents. This is not an assistant role.

We work hard but we try to make it fun — a great attitude is a must.

Locations served

  • Service area: Tempe + 30-mile radius (Scottsdale, Phoenix, Gilbert, Mesa, Tempe, Chandler)
  • Occasional travel to North Scottsdale or Anthem for select clients
  • Reliable transportation required — job involves daily travel throughout the metro

What you’ll do

  • Lead vacant staging installs (layout, execution, breakdown)
  • Direct movers and assistants during install days
  • Make real-time layout decisions on-site
  • Conduct property walk-throughs to take measurements and photos for planning purposes
  • Conduct paid pre-listing consultations with home sellers (1–2 hour walkthroughs with prioritized recommendations)
  • Source staging furniture and decor across price tiers (budget through luxury)
  • Manage inventory: track pieces across jobs, flag gaps, coordinate restocks
  • Bring in new client leads through your industry network

Required experience

  • 3–5+ years in home staging, interior design, or model home merchandising
  • Must have personally led staging installs (not just assisted)
  • Experience managing installs start to finish
  • Experience directing helpers or movers on-site
  • Experience providing pre-listing consultations or staging assessments to home sellers
  • Experience sourcing furniture and decor from retail, wholesale, or trade vendors
  • Experience managing staging inventory (Stageforce a plus)
  • Familiarity with principles of design, color theory, trends, and styles
  • Interior design degree, Staging Studio certificate, or willingness to obtain certification preferred

Core skills

  • Can execute full-room layouts without supervision
  • Strong time management on install days
  • Can problem-solve on-site (missing items, layout changes, constraints)
  • Understands scale, proportion, and furniture placement
  • Great communicator — clear with clients, agents, and on-site team
  • Can deliver clear, honest recommendations to home sellers

Physical & logistical requirements

  • Able to lift at least 25 lbs
  • Able to climb up and down a ladder
  • Comfortable entering homes alone for walkthroughs with agents or homeowners
  • Reliable transportation; willing to transport staging items in your vehicle as needed
  • Comfortable driving up to one hour each way to a job site
  • Available by phone and text throughout the workday

Expectations

  • Comfortable representing the company on-site with clients and agents
  • Willing to be hands-on during installs when needed
  • Reliable, efficient, and able to move quickly
  • Great attitude — we work hard but we try to make it fun
  • Consults are scheduled around install days, not in place of them — install lead is the priority role
  • A larger vehicle (SUV, hatchback, or similar) is a plus — occasionally helpful for transporting smaller staging items between the warehouse and job sites (company van being leased later this year)

Compensation

  • $24–30/hr depending on experience
  • $75 bonus per completed pre-listing consultation
  • $200 one-time bonus per referred lead that converts to a signed staging contract
  • Mileage compensation

Benefits

  • Paid sick leave
  • Paid holidays: 6 hours per observed holiday, after 6 months of employment

Schedule

  • ~25–35 hours/week, weekdays
  • Typical install days run 9 AM – 4 PM (averaging 6 hours, varies by job)
  • Some longer days, some shorter

To apply, include:

  1. Relevant experience
  2. Examples/photos of staging work or installs you’ve led
  3. References (if available)
