Home Staging Assistant

Luxury Staging Design is hiring a Home Staging Assistant in Van Nuys, CA, on a contract basis. This role supports a home staging company handling installations throughout the city, with a warehouse base in Van Nuys.

The position involves assisting with staging installations, managing and tracking furniture and accessory inventory, selecting pieces for projects, and packing and unpacking items for multiple weekly installations. The assistant will also interact with prospective clients and may support marketing efforts. Work is physically demanding, requiring the ability to move boxes, furniture such as chairs and couches, and navigate a dynamic inventory system that changes rapidly with multiple concurrent projects.

Responsibilities include:

• Organizing and maintaining detailed records of the growing furniture and accessory inventory
• Assisting designers in selecting, packing, and transporting pieces to and from job sites across the city
• Helping with furniture assembly when needed
• Supporting staging installations at client properties
• Engaging with potential clients
• Contributing to marketing efforts as needed

Requirements and qualifications:

• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage detailed inventory tracking
• Good eye for design and understanding of various design styles
• Interest in or experience with interiors, art, or decorating
• Physical capability to regularly lift boxes and move furniture
• Ability to work flexibly on a contract basis for projects throughout the city
• Positive attitude and collaborative approach with team members
• Furniture assembly skills are a plus
• Sales or marketing experience is beneficial
