About this role
Hoste LLC is hiring a Property Readiness & Quality Assurance Inspector in Colorado Springs, CO and surrounding areas including Monument, Cascade, Woodland Park, Florissant, Fountain, and Pueblo. This role serves as the final quality checkpoint for vacation rental properties before guest arrivals, combining detailed inspections, property staging, and light hands-on maintenance work.
The inspector will conduct final walkthroughs on newly onboarded properties to confirm readiness for professional photography and guest check-in, including staging rooms and kitchens to match listing photos, confirming initial cleaning quality, and turning on amenities as needed. Daily priorities include managing homeowner stays, guest check-ins, new property onboarding inspections, listing issue resolution, and proactive property improvements.
Quality assurance responsibilities involve following up on previously reported issues to verify they are logged in the system, confirming cleaning meets standards and providing feedback to cleaning teams, testing electronics and appliances for function, and checking supply and amenity inventory against listings. The inspector will photograph and document issues for damage claims with booking platforms and suggest listing updates based on on-site observations. Additional hands-on skills are valued, including light staging and touch-ups, resetting devices and amenities, hot tub and pool cleaning with chemical balancing, and clearing entryways with equipment. Small paint touch-ups and minor repair skills are also appreciated and reflect higher compensation.
Core responsibilities include:
- Following up behind cleaning and maintenance teams to catch small issues before they become guest complaints
- Staging homes to match professional listing photos
- Conducting thorough walkthroughs of newly onboarded properties with attention to cleaning quality, staging accuracy, and supply inventory
- Testing amenities and electronics for proper function
- Photographing and documenting issues to support insurance and OTA claims
- Documenting issues clearly for team escalation and platform reporting
- Restaging rooms as needed for guest readiness
- Providing quality assurance feedback to cleaners and maintenance staff
Candidates should possess a sharp eye for detail and natural sense for home staging, be comfortable with light physical work such as moving furniture and basic tidying, and demonstrate good judgment about when to escalate issues to appropriate teams. A reliable personal vehicle and valid driver's license are required, as is a smartphone or digital camera for documentation purposes. Candidates must be comfortable learning and using multiple software platforms including Guesty, Breezeway, Slack, and Google Suite. Prior experience in hospitality, property management, cleaning, or maintenance is preferred but not required.
Physical requirements include the ability to lift and carry restocking supplies up to 25 lbs regularly, reposition furniture as part of restaging, move items and climb stairs, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Heavy lifting can be escalated to maintenance staff.
Position details include 20 to 40 hours per week depending on schedule and coverage needs. Hoste is open to hiring either one full-time inspector covering Wednesday through Sunday, or pairing a full-time inspector on Monday through Friday with a part-time weekend inspector on Friday through Sunday. Starting pay is $17 to $19 per hour, with growth to $20 to $22 or more based on demonstrated skill in staging judgment, minor maintenance capability, and reliability. After a 90-day onboarding period, the position includes PTO, vision, dental, and medical coverage, plus mileage and vehicle stipend reimbursement and a fully stocked equipment kit. The role reports to the General Manager of the Colorado Region and VP of Homeowner Success.
