Stage to Move, a leading home staging and interior design firm, is eagerly seeking a Staging Manager for maternity leave coverage, which could transition into a permanent Interior Design Manager role. The team at Stage to Move is known for its design-forward spaces and seamless project execution. As the current staging manager will be on leave from early 2026, they need an energetic leader to fill in temporarily, before moving into a full-time interior design leadership role. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone wanting to take the reins of interior design projects and gain intensive experience in the heart of home staging.

The Staging Manager’s temporary role will commence with training from September/October 2025 and provide coverage from December 2025 to April 2026. Primary responsibilities during this phase will include managing all aspects of logistics on the staging day, creating staging proposals, selecting furniture, managing the Stageforce system, and maintaining de-stage folders. The role also involves being the main point of contact for clients, with responsibilities such as team leadership during installs, overseeing logistics onsite, and facilitating communication with clients and stakeholders.

When the maternity cover ends, the role will transition into that of the Interior Design Lead. In this position, the responsibilities will expand to include managing full-scope interior design projects, sourcing materials, leading client presentations, proficiently managing budgets, coordinating with contractors and vendors, creating layout designs, and also stepping in as a staging backup when necessary.

For this role, Stage to Move is keenly interested in candidates with prior home staging and interior design experience, preferably with three to five years in the industry. Strong leadership and people management skills, excellent communication and client management abilities, and software knowledge in SketchUp, Design Files, Excel/Sheets, and project trackers are required. The role demands the ability to handle physical staging needs and the capability to thrive under pressure. Candidates with an impressive portfolio and client satisfaction references will be preferred.

The opportunity at Stage to Move is an exciting one, allowing for creative and strategic engagement. The successful candidate will first lead the staging department, and then collaborate with the company’s owner to grow and shape the future of Stage to Move’s interior design division. With the support of another dedicated designer and a passionate team, vision can be transformed into reality.

This is a part-time role that pays between $25.00 and $35.00 per hour and demands a weekly commitment of 20 – 30 hours. Benefits of the role include inclusion in a 401(k) scheme. The work location for this hybrid role is Danbury, CT 06811.
