OASIS STAGING + DESIGN is hiring a Home Staging Assistant in Honolulu, HI. This part-time position offers flexible scheduling with 2-5 days per week available, working Monday through Friday with occasional Saturday shifts within a 7am-2pm timeframe. The role involves hands-on work preparing homes for sale by collaborating with staging team members to arrange furniture, select and place accessories, and handle all related tasks.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assist in selecting furniture and accessories from inventory, packing items, and preparing them for delivery to staging locations
- Help deliver accessories to homes, unload boxes, unpack items, and organize materials in designated rooms
- Determine furniture placement, position accessories throughout the home, and provide support as needed during staging projects
- Transport items back and forth from the warehouse to retrieve missing pieces or return unused inventory
- Prepare homes for furniture removal by packing pillows, clearing furniture surfaces of accessories, packing bedding, removing wall art, and patching holes
- Transport accessories back to the warehouse, unpack items, and organize inventory
- Track inventory location and condition to maintain accurate records
- Keep the warehouse clean and orderly
- Assemble basic furniture pieces such as dining tables, chairs, console tables, media stands, and bed frames
- Place online orders for office supplies, staging materials, and design project items
- Shop in-store for needed inventory and process returns when required
- Capture photos and video clips during installations and consultations for internal communications and social media
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- At least 18 years old
- Valid Hawaii driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfort with flexibility and problem-solving
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Staging or design experience is preferred but not required
The position offers a flexible schedule. Scheduling varies depending on active projects, with busier seasons in spring and summer and quieter periods in fall and winter. All new employees complete a one-month trial period to assess mutual fit. Applicants must drive across Oahu to reach various project locations, making reliable transportation essential.
