Realestaged is hiring a Home Staging Design Assistant in Glen Burnie, MD. This entry-level position supports the styling team across a range of staging and design activities that shift daily based on operational needs. The role combines warehouse coordination, quality control, furniture arrangement, and some light moving responsibilities.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Receiving and organizing inventory in the warehouse, with attention to proper categorization and labeling by style
- Assisting stylists in selecting appropriate furniture and decor for staging projects
- Ensuring completed stagings meet quality standards before delivery, including removing tags, addressing damage, and correcting furniture selections
- Assembling furniture and performing maintenance tasks like packing accessories into storage totes and stuffing pillow covers
- Setting up stagings in the warehouse for different project types, including occupied, partial, and luxury homes
- Photographing completed work to document job sites
- Training other team members on techniques for hanging artwork, placing furniture and accessories, and maintaining clean presentation
- Managing warehouse organization and restocking accessories and furniture onto shelves
- Shopping for furniture and decor at retailers throughout Maryland, Virginia, and the D.C. area using a company vehicle or sourcing items online
- Creating Home Staging Transfer plans for relocating furnishings between locations
- Printing and framing artwork for stylists
- Assisting with furniture moving when needed, which may involve lifting pieces up stairs, coordinating placement with a partner, and carefully packing fragile items for transport
- Confirming job completion through photo and video review
Qualifications and requirements:
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and move lighter furniture up stairs
- Valid driver's license
- Capacity to coordinate furniture arrangement with a partner
- Capability to operate a cargo van
- Basic understanding of design principles and color theory
- Prior work experience
- Willingness to pass a background check
The position operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. EST, with weekend and evening shifts available as needed. Start date is immediate upon availability.
