Interior Designer / Home Stager

Quadra FS Inc. is hiring an Interior Designer to support the creation and delivery of luxury turnkey residential projects, furniture purchases, and staging work in the New York City area. The role involves transforming design concepts into finished spaces, managing all stages of work from initial client meetings and design planning through sourcing, revisions, purchasing, and installation.

The designer will work alongside clients and internal teams specializing in design, purchasing, sourcing, logistics, and operations to maintain quality standards and meet project deadlines. Responsibilities span design creation, project oversight, team coordination, and vendor partnerships.

Design Development & Execution

• Create interior design concepts tailored to luxury residential turnkey, purchase, and staging projects
• Develop floor plans, spatial layouts, presentations, and furniture selections that align with the project vision and aesthetic goals
• Meet with clients to learn about project goals, preferences, and overall design direction
• Show furniture, décor, lighting, and styling choices to clients and incorporate their feedback into the design
• Handle design revisions and modifications while preserving the overall design concept
• Maintain consistent quality standards across multiple concurrent projects

Project Execution & Installation Support

• Oversee projects from initial concept through final installation, keeping timelines, costs, and design intent on track
• Move approved designs through the sourcing, purchasing, delivery, and installation phases
• Direct on-site staging and furniture placement work, then complete final styling
• Address site-specific problems while preserving design integrity and workflow
• Adjust designs thoughtfully based on actual site conditions, client input, stock availability, and project scope

Internal Coordination & Workflow Management

• Maintain regular communication with logistics, operations, warehouse, and procurement staff to confirm proper workflow execution
• Confirm that design selections match available inventory, shipping dates, installation scheduling, and project budgets
• Monitor project status and facilitate coordination across all teams
• Contribute to ongoing collaboration within the design team through all design and delivery stages

Sourcing & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Identify and select furniture, décor, lighting, artwork, textiles, and materials in coordination with the buying department
• Make thoughtful selections of furnishings and décor that fit the specific project, client needs, and design direction
• Verify that design choices work within budget limitations, current availability, delivery timeframes, and operational constraints
• Help facilitate smooth transitions between the design, purchasing, and installation phases

Trend & Industry Awareness

• Keep informed about current trends and developments in luxury interior design, staging, home furnishings, and décor options
• Introduce innovative and design-forward thinking to project work
• Demonstrate strong working knowledge of furniture styling, scale, proportion, color, texture, and composition
• Help shape and advance the aesthetic direction and project approaches of Quadra FS Inc.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum five years of professional experience in interior design, staging, or high-end residential design
• Portfolio of completed residential interior design, furniture selection, vendor relationships, styling, or staging projects
• Demonstrated ability to work with clients through consultation, presentation, feedback integration, and revision cycles
• Experience taking projects through the installation and execution phases
• Solid foundation in furniture, décor, materials, styling, and space design principles
• Proven skill in locating and selecting residential furniture and décor from various vendors
• Strong ability to communicate clearly with both clients and internal cross-functional teams
• Capable of juggling multiple simultaneous projects with strong organizational skills
• Attentive to detail with a proactive and problem-solving approach
• Refined aesthetic judgment and capacity to make sound design decisions within budget and constraint parameters

The position offers a hybrid work structure including on-site project work, office days, and remote days, Monday through Friday. The office and warehouse facility is located in Secaucus, NJ. Compensation is $70,000 to $90,000 annually, with benefits including 401(k) participation, health insurance, dental coverage, vision insurance, and paid time off.
