White Glove Delivery & Installation Specialist

Southern Moving and Storage is hiring a White Glove Delivery & Installation Specialist in Wilmington, NC. This position involves delivering, installing, placing, and staging furniture and home furnishings in partnership with interior designers, design firms, homeowners, and trade partners. The work extends beyond standard furniture moving, requiring employees who demonstrate pride in craftsmanship, professional appearance, and meticulous attention to detail.

Key responsibilities include the following:

• Load, transport, and deliver furniture and high-end home furnishings safely
• Execute white glove delivery service in residential and commercial locations
• Assemble furniture using hand and power tools
• Install furniture, artwork, mirrors, accessories, and other home items as specified
• Support interior designers with furniture placement and staging decisions
• Position and level furniture according to design plans and specifications
• Check items for damage or defects prior to and following delivery
• Safeguard floors, walls, doorways, and finished surfaces during delivery and installation work
• Communicate professionally with interior designers, clients, vendors, and trade professionals
• Keep trucks and work areas clean and organized
• Handle inventory, paperwork, delivery documentation, and customer sign-off procedures according to company standards
• Complete deliveries efficiently as part of a coordinated team
• Maintain professional representation of Southern Moving and Storage at all job sites

Required qualifications and skills:

Previous experience in furniture delivery, furniture installation, moving, carpentry, construction, cabinet installation, home staging, interior design, hospitality, appliance installation, or general handyman work is advantageous. Professional appearance and attitude are essential for this position, given regular interaction with interior designers and their clients.
