Furniture Moving & Storage Team Member

Barrett Business Services is hiring a Furniture Moving & Storage Team Member in Medford, OR. The company provides professional home staging services, installing furniture and décor to prepare homes for the market. This part-time, year-round position involves warehouse and moving work scheduled primarily on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, with occasional Wednesday shifts. Summer hours typically run 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and the rest of the year from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Shifts are generally 2, 4 hours in length, and hours are not guaranteed but are expected to be scheduled consistently.

Core responsibilities include the following:

• Pull furniture, décor, and linens from the warehouse as part of a two-person team
• Load and unload items into a 14-ft box truck using a ramp and appropriate lifting techniques
• Safely lift and carry items weighing up to 75 lbs., including when navigating stairs
• Help with furniture assembly and occasional minor repairs
• Keep the warehouse and on-site work areas clean and organized
• Communicate effectively with team members during moves and staging setups
• Pack and secure all items properly during transport
• Support staging installations and breakdowns as directed

The position requires the following qualifications:

• Physical fitness and the ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs. on a regular basis
• Prior experience with furniture moving, truck loading and unloading, or warehouse work is preferred
• Furniture assembly and basic repair skills are a plus
• Reliable transportation
• Non-smoker status, with no smoking or vaping permitted at job sites
• Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively on a team
• Professional conduct, reliability, honesty, and humility in approach to work
