Steel City Home Staging & Design is hiring a Staffing Coordinator in West Mifflin, PA. This 1099 contract position averages 34 to 36 hours per week and offers the chance to manage daily operations for a growing staging company serving homeowners, realtors, and investors across Allegheny County. The role spans client management, scheduling, sales, and hands-on staging work.
Responsibilities include:
- Serve as the primary contact for clients from initial inquiry through project completion
- Present staging services to prospective clients and convert inquiries into signed contracts
- Handle client relations professionally and address concerns appropriately
- Conduct property walkthroughs, document conditions, and send follow-up consultations
- Build the company's weekly schedule and plan personal work week accordingly
- Maintain schedules, paperwork, and follow-ups with attention to detail
- Respond to company communications in a timely manner
- Collect client payments and track payment status
- Stage and destage homes alongside the team, taking the lead on installations
- Prepare inventory loads before install days and verify readiness
- Document destaging and track the condition of all returned items
- Purchase staging materials and run necessary errands
- Log and maintain the inventory system
- Train stagers and hold the team accountable to company standards
- Source, interview, and hire staging candidates
- Keep the warehouse, truck, and inventory organized and accurately recorded
- Monitor branded materials and supplies, flagging when restocking or updates are needed
- Manage locks, keys, alarm codes, and property access for client sites, warehouse, and company facilities
- Photograph and record video at properties
- Post content to Instagram on a consistent weekly basis
- Identify properties suitable for professional photography shoots
Candidates should bring the following qualifications:
- Proven ability to sell services with confidence and present to clients
- Self-directed work style balanced with strong teamwork and responsiveness to direction
- Strong organizational skills and follow-through on commitments
- Ability to develop systems and processes rather than relying on external reminders
- Willingness to contribute to a startup environment and commit to growth
- Flexibility when schedules and plans shift
- Eye for design, with staging or interior design background preferred
- Comfort using social media platforms
- Valid driver's license and dependable transportation
- Trustworthiness with property access and security responsibilities
- Physical capacity to lift and carry objects up to 75 pounds regularly
- Ability to move furniture up and down stairs and through narrow spaces
- Stamina to remain active and on feet throughout full workdays
- Comfort working in various conditions including vacant homes, warehouses, and outdoor weather
