Mover

Salt + Pine, an award-winning home staging company in Rhode Island, is hiring a Mover in West Warwick, RI. This physically demanding, hands-on position involves managing warehouse and inventory operations while helping transport and install staging designs throughout the region.

Primary responsibilities include the following:

• Maintain safety and compliance by keeping walkways clear and ensuring electrical panels remain unobstructed
• Organize and manage warehouse inventory and staging items
• Select and pack staging inventory in preparation for installation jobs
• Load and unload furniture and décor from trucks for delivery and setup
• Wrap and protect furnishings to prevent damage during transport
• Participate in setup and breakdown of staging installations at client properties
• Operate a moving truck (CDL not required) to transport inventory and materials
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the warehouse
• Support inventory control and restocking activities
• Ensure the staging equipment bag is fully stocked and organized at all times
• Complete end-of-day tasks including clearing aisles and loading areas of debris, processing deliveries, stocking supplies, and securing the facility
• Attend weekly meetings with ownership and warehouse staff

Candidates should have the following qualifications:

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Authorization to operate a box truck up to 26 feet in length
• Strong time management skills and attention to detail
• Ability to apply basic math skills to inventory and logistics tasks
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical procedures and instructions
• Practical problem-solving abilities
• Clear and open communication with colleagues
• Capacity to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Ability to work collaboratively, accept feedback, and compromise with team members
• Reliable attendance and punctuality

The role requires frequent lifting of up to 75 pounds individually and occasional team lifting of items up to 200 pounds. The position involves alternating between stationary work (50% of the time) and moving throughout the warehouse and job sites to assess inventory needs. Computer and iPad proficiency is necessary, along with the ability to climb ladders to access higher shelves and navigate stairs at client properties.

This position is part-time, based in West Warwick, RI, and occurs primarily in a warehouse setting with frequent exposure to outdoor conditions, heat, and humidity. The work environment occasionally includes proximity to moving mechanical parts and working at heights, with typical moderate noise levels.
