Staging Assistant

About this role

Paper Street Home Staging is hiring a part-time Home Staging Assistant in Seattle, WA. The company stages properties across the greater Seattle region for realtors, builders, and homeowners preparing homes for sale. This position involves working alongside the Staging Manager to transform empty properties into appealing spaces that help buyers envision themselves living there.

The Staging Assistant will support the hands-on, physical work required to stage homes from start to finish. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assist the Staging Manager with styling, decorating, and fine-tuning spaces on-site
  • Load, unload, and arrange furniture, art, and accessories at job sites
  • Complete post-staging finishing work such as making beds, steaming linens, vacuuming floors, and ensuring properties are photo-ready
  • Maintain organization in the warehouse and track inventory as items are distributed and returned
  • Alert the Staging Manager to any issues, including missing pieces, scheduling conflicts, or condition problems
  • Stay informed about current design trends and market developments

Candidates should have a genuine interest in design, staging, or interiors, though formal training is not required. The position demands physical capability, including the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, kneel, and move throughout job sites and warehouse spaces throughout the day. Applicants must be reliable, organized, easy to work with, and comfortable with sustained hands-on labor. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites around Seattle are essential.

Prior experience in staging, interior design, furniture retail, or real estate is helpful but not required. An understanding of current design and styling trends and familiarity with the Seattle housing market are also nice to have.

The schedule is part-time with daytime hours, structured around staging and installation days. Work is flexible as projects and timelines shift. Pay ranges from $22 to $25 per hour based on experience. Candidates should submit a resume along with any materials that demonstrate their interest and background, such as photos of past work or a brief explanation of what attracts them to staging. No formal cover letter or portfolio is required. Paper Street Home Staging is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
