Home Staging Designer

The company is on the hunt for a Home Staging Designer who will take charge of the team's home staging services, from conceptualization to installation. They also expect the individual to lend considerable assistance to complete staging design projects. Creativity and problem-solving ability are valued for this role, with hands-on experience being an advantage.

The role requires the incumbent to curate and install standard “Meridith Baer” look. This is to be done using the existing inventory from the warehouse and custom pieces for projects with budgets under 20K. Communication is key in this role, as the individual will work closely with the homeowner/broker and the Meridith Baer Sales Associate to identify the needs of the home.

The ideal candidate must possess knowledge of furniture production, ability to order and track custom production pieces, and an understanding of budget-appropriate furnishings. They will submit a Designer Debrief for each job, highlighting issues with install/inventory or requirements for move outs, and maintain the Filekeeper inventory system for inventory control as well as job price lists.

One component of this role is to facilitate the sales of staged furniture in homes and consistently deliver top-tier designs suited for the home and its budget. Travel may be required from time to time. The candidate must also show flexibility and proficiency in varying styles and aesthetics, effective preparation and installation to decrease crew overtime, and keen attention to the homeowner /broker’s design needs.

Education-wise, a Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design is highly preferable, or comparable work experience. At least 3 years' experience in real estate, staging, or design is sought. The candidate should be personable, engaging, determined, and proactive. They must also be articulate, diplomatic, and maintain a consistently positive outlook. The role requires working at multiple locations, including the warehouse and staged homes. The candidate should have proven time and project management skills, and the ability to work both autonomously and concurrently on multiple tasks.

A precondition for this role is good communication skills to work with different personnel and basic computer skills (preferably Microsoft products).
