Assistant Home Stager

About this role
1st Stage Property Transformation, LLC is hiring an Assistant Home Stager in Murrieta, CA. This award-winning staging company works on over 650 properties annually across Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, and San Diego counties, with a team of more than 20 design professionals and support staff. The Assistant Stager works alongside the Lead Stager to prepare, install, and execute successful property stagings.
Before each stage, the Assistant Stager handles packing and preparation tasks. This includes packing all accessories from staging shelves into bins and foam envelopes, organizing items by room with clear markings, and transporting bins via rolling racks to the appropriate trucks. The role involves carefully packing tagged lamps (removing shades and wrapping bases for safe transport), assembling beds for various bedroom counts and sizes, and maintaining the Lead Stager's work bag inventory with necessary materials and tools. The Assistant Stager communicates with the Lead Stager to support any additional preparation needs.
During installation at each property, responsibilities shift to setting up the stage. Lamps are positioned, assembled, plugged in, and lit in their designated locations. The Assistant Stager ensures marked bins arrive in the correct rooms, unpacks items according to staging guidelines, and removes tags from pillows, throws, and towels without ripping them. Price and manufacturer labels are removed from all accessories. Beds are assembled and dressed in their designated bedrooms, then steamed. The Assistant Stager cleans all relevant surfaces, addresses any marks or scratches on furniture, and collects items for return in a separate bin. Lights are turned off after final photos.
After completing each stage, the Assistant Stager returns to the warehouse to handle closeout tasks. Go-back bins are placed in the designated return area, mattresses and bed bins are returned to storage, trash is emptied, and remaining bins are stacked in the appropriate section. The Assistant Stager checks with the Lead Stager about any final tasks before leaving.
The Assistant Stager must demonstrate the ability to follow direction and execute tasks, take initiative independently, and communicate effectively. Multitasking, time management, and strong organizational skills with attention to detail are essential. Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to adjust when necessary are required. The position involves possible prolonged periods of sitting and driving, with the ability to lift 15 to 35 pounds at times.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least two years of related work experience. One year of warehouse experience is preferred. Relocation to Murrieta, CA 92562 is required before the start date. This is a full-time, in-person position paying $18 to $25 per hour.
