Home Staging Designer

Meridith Baer Home is hiring a Home Staging Designer in South Gate, CA. This full-time position offers a base salary plus commission totaling $70,500 per year. Applicants must submit a portfolio when applying.

The Home Staging Designer leads the home staging process from initial concept through final installation while collaborating on comprehensive staging projects. The role requires creative thinking, strong problem-solving abilities, and hands-on involvement throughout each project.

Key responsibilities include the following:

• Implement Meridith Baer's signature design style as well as one or two alternative aesthetics, utilizing existing warehouse inventory and custom pieces according to company procedures
• Partner with homeowners, brokers, and the Meridith Baer Account Executive to understand specific needs and preferences for each property
• Select furnishings that match the project budget and aesthetic goals
• Maintain knowledge of furniture manufacturing and manage ordering and tracking of custom pieces
• Prepare a Designer Debrief after each project documenting any installation issues, inventory concerns, or items requiring relocation
• Update the FileMaker inventory system to maintain accurate stock records and generate job pricing
• Support the sales effort by promoting furniture pieces that have been placed in staged homes
• Deliver design work that is appropriate to both the property and the budget constraints
• Demonstrate versatility across multiple design styles and approaches
• Manage scheduling and installation timelines to control crew overtime expenses
• Address homeowner and broker requests to meet or exceed client expectations
• Travel as needed for project requirements
• Complete additional tasks as assigned

Required qualifications and experience:

• Three or more years working in real estate, home staging, or interior design
• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design strongly preferred, or equivalent professional experience
• Personable and engaging demeanor with homeowners and colleagues
• Strong determination and self-motivation
• Articulate communication style with diplomacy and a consistently positive approach
• Comfort working across multiple locations, including warehouse facilities and residential properties
• Demonstrated project management and time management abilities
• Capacity to work independently and juggle multiple priorities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate with diverse team members
• Proficiency with basic computer applications including Gmail, Google Drive, Google Photos, and Google Calendar
