Home Staging Stylist (Part-Time)

Studio M Staging is hiring a Home Staging Stylist in San Leandro, CA to design and style residential properties that appeal to buyers. This role focuses on hands-on styling work rather than interior design, emphasizing the ability to work with existing inventory and manage project details from conception through installation.

Responsibilities include:

• Design and style homes according to their architectural characteristics and target buyer demographics
• Select and pull furniture, rugs, art, and decorative items from the warehouse inventory
• Source additional items online when needed and prepare shopping lists for approval
• Create comprehensive staging plans, layouts, and detailed styling notes with reference photos to guide the installation team
• Coordinate with the staging and warehouse teams to execute projects smoothly
• Attend property walk-throughs and provide design direction for upcoming work
• Handle all styling details, including shelving arrangements, accent pieces, and finishing touches
• Offer paint color consultations and light fixture recommendations when appropriate

Applicants should demonstrate:

• Experience in visual merchandising, home styling, set design, or staging
• Strong attention to detail and skill managing multiple small components across a project
• Organized approach and comfort meeting tight timelines
• Solid understanding of proportion, scale, and color relationships
• Proficiency with inventory management apps
• Availability for flexible part-time hours based on project requirements
• Ability to work on-site for installations and walk-throughs at the San Leandro warehouse
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with staging, warehouse, and operations staff
