Staged Designs, a family-owned home staging company in Long Beach, is hiring a Part-Time Home Staging Assistant. This internship position offers hands-on experience in interior design, home staging, real estate, and small-business operations at $17.00 per hour. The role is part-time at approximately 15 to 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with weekends off.
The position supports staging installation days and warehouse operations, preparing homes for sale by positioning furniture, décor, and accessories to create appealing, market-ready spaces.
Main responsibilities include:
- Assist with installing furniture, décor, and accessories at residential properties
- Load, unload, and transport staging inventory, including items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Organize, catalog, and maintain warehouse inventory
- Keep the warehouse, truck, and staging items in clean, organized condition
- Handle local errands related to supplies, décor, or projects
- Help with content creation for social media and behind-the-scenes marketing efforts
- Support administrative and general business tasks as the role expands
- Learn operational practices of a growing home staging business
Candidates should meet the following qualifications:
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and collaborative mindset
- Interest or background in interior design, business, real estate, hospitality, or related field
- Comfortable with physical, hands-on work and able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Organized, detail-oriented, and willing to take initiative
- Reliable transportation and willingness to drive up to 30 miles from Long Beach for installation work
- Preference for candidates living in or near Long Beach
- Availability Monday through Friday
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn new systems
- Interest in growing with a small business and taking on increased responsibility
