Ambiance Design And Staging is hiring a Staging Mover in Pleasanton, CA. This part-time position involves supporting furniture deliveries, staging installations, and pickups throughout the Bay Area. The role is hands-on and centers on moving furniture, operating company trucks, setting up staged homes, and maintaining warehouse organization. Prior experience with moving work is preferred.
Responsibilities include:
- Operating company box trucks and staging vehicles to transport materials to job sites
- Loading and unloading furniture, artwork, rugs, and staging inventory
- Delivering and positioning furniture in rooms according to staging plans provided by the design team
- Participating in staging installations and pickup operations
- Moving furniture vertically between different levels of homes, including up and down stairs
- Installing artwork, mirrors, and wall decor
- Performing basic patching and minor handyman work as required
- Safely maneuvering and positioning furniture inside homes
- Organizing and returning furniture, artwork, and inventory to proper warehouse storage after pickups
- Placing furniture, artwork, and inventory on upper warehouse shelves
- Maintaining a clean and organized warehouse
- Preparing furniture and inventory for upcoming staging projects
- Following staging layouts and instructions from the design team
- Maintaining availability for scheduled staging and pickup dates
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving history
- Comfortable operating medium-sized box trucks
- Ability to safely lift, carry, and move heavy furniture
- Ability to move furniture up and down multiple levels including stairs
- Ability to safely lift and place furniture and inventory on upper warehouse shelving
- Home staging, furniture moving, warehouse, or related experience preferred
- Eye for design and furniture placement preferred
- Ability to interpret staging layouts and understand how furniture arrangement affects overall appearance
- Ability to hang artwork and perform basic patching and minor handyman tasks
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong attention to detail and careful handling of furniture and inventory
- Legal authorization to work in the United States with required documentation
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- English proficiency
