Warehouse Manager - 3rd Shift

Vesta Home is hiring a Warehouse Manager for 3rd Shift operations in Hayward, CA. The manager will direct overnight warehouse activity including picking, staging, and preparation of outbound inventory for next-day delivery. This position handles inventory management, quality control, safety oversight, and team supervision within a growing organization.

Key responsibilities include:

• Oversee picking, staging, and pre-loading of outbound shipments during overnight hours
• Supervise inspection and processing of returned merchandise to maintain quality standards
• Ensure accurate inventory storage and tracking through the Warehouse Management System
• Manage safe loading and unloading procedures for trucks and containers
• Enforce OSHA, fire, and workplace safety protocols
• Conduct and lead weekly safety meetings
• Monitor warehouse equipment maintenance and ensure equipment readiness
• Train, coach, and cross-train warehouse staff members
• Conduct orientations and onboarding for new hires
• Plan staffing levels and manage shift scheduling
• Perform quality inspections on completed warehouse tasks
• Track and report metrics on productivity, quality, and safety
• Identify process improvements to boost efficiency and reduce operational costs
• Complete employee performance reviews and provide coaching or corrective action as needed
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper workflow in the warehouse
• Communicate operational challenges and staffing issues to senior management

The ideal candidate will have:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• A minimum of one year of warehouse management or supervisory experience
• Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems and inventory control procedures
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational abilities
• Ability to work overnight shifts
