About this role
Trusted Home Management, a family-owned short-term rental property management company based in Miami, is hiring an Airbnb Design & Property Assistant for its growing South Florida portfolio. This hands-on position involves styling and preparing vacation rental homes throughout the Miami area, and suits college students, recent graduates, or those pursuing experience in interior design, architecture, home staging, hospitality, or real estate.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Shopping for décor, furniture, accessories, linens, and household items at local and online retailers
- Unboxing, organizing, and inventorying new furnishings and décor
- Staging and styling rooms and outdoor spaces
- Measuring spaces, furniture, windows, and walls
- Creating and maintaining shopping lists and accessory inventories
- Picking up and returning items from stores
- Receiving and organizing deliveries
- Coordinating furniture and décor installations
- Photographing progress and keeping projects organized
- Traveling to properties throughout Miami as assigned
- Preparing homes for professional photography and Airbnb launch
- Ensuring properties are fully styled, stocked, and ready for guests
As the candidate learns the company's design systems and style, advancement into independent management of property setups and design projects will be possible.
Required qualifications and attributes:
- Reliable personal transportation and willingness to travel throughout the Miami area
- Creative eye for design and strong attention to organizational detail
- Dependable and trustworthy work ethic
- Ability to work independently
- Comfortable with hands-on tasks and lifting or moving smaller décor items and boxes
- Experience shopping both in stores and online
- Familiarity with design tools or social platforms such as Instagram, Pinterest, or Canva
- Flexible availability on weekdays with occasional weekend availability
- Interest in interior design, hospitality, real estate, or the short-term rental industry
- No prior professional design experience required
The position offers hands-on experience transforming vacant or unfinished properties into fully designed, staged, and operating vacation rentals, along with the opportunity to build a portfolio while learning the design and operational aspects of the short-term rental industry.
