Mover/Staging Assistant

Maxwell & Edison Interiors is hiring a Mover/Staging Assistant in Ellicott City, MD. The position involves assisting with relocations and staging operations by loading, unloading, and organizing items for projects while learning about the industry. This paid, part-time role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and efficiency throughout daily operations.

• Safely load and unload furniture, baskets, and other items
• Organize items in staging spaces in preparation for moves or deliveries
• Operate moving vans while following all applicable traffic laws and regulations
• Use mobile devices to track inventory, report delivery progress, and coordinate with the team
• Load and unload trucks using proper lifting techniques to prevent injury and maintain correct weight distribution
• Perform warehouse duties including inventory management, moving materials between storage areas, and maintaining a clean workspace
• Deliver customer service during delivery and pickup appointments, addressing client concerns in a professional manner

Candidates should have a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and the physical stamina to lift heavy objects regularly while adhering to safety standards. Comfort using mobile devices for messaging and documentation is required, as is the ability to communicate professionally with coworkers and clients.

Paid training is included. The position is based in Ellicott City, MD and requires work on site.
