Social Media Content Creator/Interior Design Stylist

Cathy Hobbs Design Recipes, an award-winning home staging firm led by Emmy-winning television host and HGTV Design Star finalist Cathy Hobbs, is hiring a Social Media Content Creator/Interior Design Stylist in New York, NY. This part-time hybrid role combines on-site styling at luxury properties and staging installs with social media content creation and podcast support. The position is based in NYC and requires travel to the Hudson Valley headquarters 1 to 2 times per month.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Style and refine spaces at staging installs, luxury homes, and short-term rental properties on-site
• Capture content during installs, behind-the-scenes moments, lifestyle moments, and before-and-after transformations
• Develop a consistent flow of branded visual content with a strong design perspective
• Plan weekly content across social platforms, with emphasis on Instagram
• Edit short-form video content including stories, reels, clips, and promotional materials in an elevated, intentional style
• Write captions aligned with the company's brand voice and manage consistent posting schedules
• Adapt trending topics into high-end, on-brand content pieces
• Collaborate with the videographer on monthly podcast batches for setup, recording, and content organization
• Cut social clips, trailers, and teasers from podcast episodes
• Maintain episode organization and scheduling

Qualifications and experience:

• Demonstrable eye for design, styling, or interiors with content that reflects this sensibility
• Comfortable shooting and editing short-form video with willingness to learn new tools (Descript, CapCut, Canva, Edits, InStories, and Wave.io familiarity is advantageous)
• Understanding of social media trends while maintaining elevated, on-brand aesthetics
• Self-directed and proactive work style with ability to collaborate within a creative team
• NYC-area residency with availability to travel to Hudson Valley 1 to 2 times monthly
• Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple content formats

Bonus qualifications include background in design, styling, real estate, or hospitality, experience photographing interiors or lifestyle spaces, or exposure to podcast or audio editing.
