Assistant Stager / Stylist

Paloma Home Studio is searching for a Junior Interior Stylist in Oakland, CA. This is a contract or freelance position with a pay rate of $28.00 per hour. The successful candidate will be assisting with home staging projects at the company's warehouse and various staging locations throughout the Bay Area.

This role is designed for someone with a keen eye for design who is interested in gaining further experience in the field. The Junior Stylist will play an important role in the preparation, loading, and styling of homes, guided by the lead stylist.

Tasks include supporting staging installs such as unpacking, layout creation, and styling. Moving and loading of furniture and accessories will be part of the job. The stylist will need to follow visual direction and styling guidance provided by the lead stylist, and will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized workspace during the installs. Post-install, the Junior Stylist will also assist in packing up and breaking down.

The ideal candidate has at least one year experience in staging, retail merchandising, or interiors. They must have a strong sense of style and visual balance. As the role involves physical work, they need to be comfortable carrying out these tasks. It is crucial for them to work well within a team, communicate effectively and follow directions accurately.

This on-call position may require work once to three times a week, depending on the project's requirements. The successful candidate will commit between 10 to 40 hours per week.

Payment falls within the range of $25.00 - $30.00 per hour.
