About this role

Aspect Staging is hiring a Home Staging Technician / Furniture Installer in San Diego County, CA. This part-time position, running 15 to 30 hours per week on a flexible schedule, focuses on the physical and logistical work needed to prepare homes for sale. The role involves transporting, installing, and removing furniture and décor throughout the San Diego County area, with most work happening weekday daytime hours and occasional Saturday shifts.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Loading and unloading furniture, rugs, artwork, lamps, and staging inventory into company vehicles
  • Transporting inventory between the warehouse and job sites across San Diego County
  • Moving furniture into homes, including navigating stairs and tight spaces
  • Assembling and disassembling beds, dining tables, consoles, and other staged pieces
  • Tracking hardware, tools, and components during installations and removals
  • Placing furniture and accessories according to direction from the lead stager
  • Rolling out rugs, making beds, hanging artwork, installing lamps, and arranging décor
  • Adjusting furniture placement as needed during the staging process
  • Wrapping, packing, and protecting furniture, artwork, lamps, mirrors, and delicate items
  • Removing staging inventory when homes sell or staging periods conclude
  • Reloading trucks carefully after removals and returning inventory to the warehouse
  • Cleaning and maintaining furniture, rugs, lamps, artwork, and other staging pieces
  • Vacuuming, wiping, dusting, and spot-cleaning inventory before use in homes
  • Reporting damaged, stained, missing, or worn items
  • Keeping the warehouse, vehicles, tools, and staging inventory organized and clean
  • Communicating clearly and professionally via walkie-talkie and phone
  • Following instructions and safety procedures from drivers, lead stagers, and team members
  • Protecting floors, walls, doors, and clients' homes while working
  • Working efficiently with the team to meet installation and removal timelines

Candidates should have the following qualifications and attributes:

  • Reliable and punctual attendance
  • Ability to follow instructions and adapt without frustration
  • Physical capability to perform demanding work for several hours continuously
  • Capacity to lift and carry 50 to 75 pounds with a teammate
  • Comfort moving sofas, dining tables, beds, dressers, rugs, artwork, and similar items
  • Basic hand tool competency for furniture assembly and disassembly
  • Organizational skills for managing hardware, tools, and components
  • Willingness to clean, maintain, and prepare inventory as part of the role
  • Reliable personal transportation to reach job sites and the warehouse
  • Clear and professional communication skills
  • Careful handling of furniture, décor, vehicles, client homes, and company property
  • Ability to work quickly without sacrificing quality
  • Positive attitude and strong teamwork capability
  • Professional appearance and respectful conduct at client homes
  • Phone and text communication ability
  • Weekday daytime availability with flexibility for occasional Saturdays, early starts, or schedule adjustments
  • Practical problem-solving approach and solution-oriented mindset

Prior experience in furniture moving or delivery, furniture assembly, home staging, warehouse operations, interior design installation, event setup or breakdown, art installation, inventory cleaning, box truck or cargo van operation, or equipment use such as dollies and moving blankets is helpful but not necessary. The company prioritizes reliability, teamwork, judgment, work ethic, and care over staging experience and is prepared to train the right candidate.

All new hires complete a paid 30-day evaluation period to confirm mutual compatibility regarding physical pace, scheduling dependability, inventory care, and team fit. Starting compensation is $20 to $25 per hour based on experience. Aspect Staging is a growing San Diego home staging firm serving homeowners, agents, investors, and builders throughout the county.
